How to Measure for Your Nursing Uniform

Note: For the most accurate measurements, use a soft measuring tape and ensure you're standing straight.

Shirt Measurements:

  1. Neck: Measure around your neck, just below your Adam's apple.
  2. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level.
  3. Sleeve Length: Measure from your shoulder seam, down your arm to your wrist. Bend your elbow slightly to get the most accurate measurement.
  4. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically about an inch above your belly button.
  5. Shoulder Width: Measure from one shoulder to the other across the back.

Pants Measurements:

  1. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline.
  2. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to your ankle.
  3. Rise: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of your waistband.
  4. Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Tips:

  • If you're between sizes, it's usually best to size up for a more comfortable fit.
  • Refer to the specific brand's size chart for their recommended measurements.
  • If you're unsure, consider consulting a tailor or a professional fitter for assistance.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your shirts and pants fit you perfectly.
